Professional development classes scheduled

Residents of central Louisiana will have the opportunity to learn the latest software application packages, as well as customer service skills during a series of local workshops this summer.

The courses, which will be held during July, are being offered at the Learning Center for Rapides Parish by LANtec of Louisiana, a Microsoft Certified Silver Partner for Learning Solutions. They are structured in a one-day format in response to business and industry needs.

Check the LCRP web site, under the "Professional Development" section, for a current list of classes and dates.

LANtec is a Louisiana-based training provider with facilities in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Lake Charles. Although the company has conducted training for some central Louisiana businesses, this is the first series of “open enrollment” classes the company has offered in Alexandria.

The Learning Center, Louisiana’s largest consortium of colleges and universities, provides education and workforce training opportunities to the central Louisiana region. It is located at 1410 Neel Kearby Blvd. on England Airpark.
